“I was much astounded by this programme”
Back On One!
This Friday (5 July 2013), Sherlock returns to BBC One for a repeat run of series 2. The first episode, which will be screened at 8.30pm, is A Scandal in Belgravia.
And The Next One!
Nick Hurran has been confirmed as director for the third episode in the upcoming BBC Sherlock series 3. Steven Moffat will be the writer for this one, the title as yet unannounced. Filming on the episode is set to begin in late July. Post production work on the first two episodes is continuing.
Hurran recently completed filming the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, which was also written by Steven Moffat. This is due to be broadcast in November 2013 as the centrepiece of the celebrations.
Big Brother, My Dear Watson
Rhys Ifans is joining the cast of Elementary, as Sherlock’s brother Mycroft. The Welsh actor will appear in the first episode of the upcoming second season, which sees the detective and his partner Joan Watson travel to London to take up an old case. We have the story here from Digital Spy and also from the Radio Times website.
