“Have there been any fresh developments?” asked Holmes

 Elementary Countdown!

Only one more day to go until Elementary reaches our screens (Sky Living on Tuesday 23October 2012 at 9pm). To help while away the time, here’s a short preview video.

Sky Living is also repeating the show at 8pm the following day (24th). There’s a further repeat on Sunday (28th) at 9pm.

Sky Go users can watch the entire episode in full now!

Here’s what Alex Kane has to say about Elementary in his latest Guide. Is there room for yet another take on Sherlock Holmes? Let’s face it, we already have Robert Downey Jnr. on the big screen and Benedict Cumberbatch on television. And now we have Jonny Lee Miller as a very modern Holmes in New York: accompanied by Lucy Liu as Joan Watson. Miller is a brilliant young actor, but I’m not sure what he can bring to the character which hasn’t already been brought by Downey and Cumberbatch.’

Awards: Act Now!

The TV Times Awards 2012 affords yet another opportunity for the BBC’s Sherlock to fill its trophy cabinet to near overflowing. Mrs Hudson has been seen in her local pound shop, stocking up with copious amounts of Mr Sheen.

Sherlock series 2 has been nominated for Best Drama, the death scene in episode 3 (of series 2) is up for Favourite Event of the Year, while Benedict Cumberbach is hoping to get his hands on Best Actor. Remember that Sherlock is nominated in 3 categories!

And perhaps in an attempt to dispel any potential voter apathy, TV Times is offering the added incentive of some rather nice prizes, open to everyone who takes part.

Voting closes tomorrow, Tuesday 23 October, so act now – cast your vote here!

Awards: Spoiler Alert!

The 2012 Crime Thriller Awards are being screened on ITV3 tomorrow evening (Tuesday 23rd)  at 9pm (repeated on Thursday 25th). The ceremony itself was held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel last Thursday (18th) evening.

If you don’t want to know the outcome, look away now!

BBC Sherlock series 2 grabbed the TV Dagger, Benedict Cumberbatch (for Sherlock) got the Best Actor Dagger while Martin Freeman (for John) took the Supporting Actor Dagger. The bigger picture is just a click away.
