Edward Hardwicke Dies.

It was with great sadness that we learned this morning of the passing of Edward Hardwicke, on Monday 16 May 2011 aged 78. Edward Hardwicke enjoyed a long and distinguished career on stage, television and cinema but will perhaps be best remembered for playing Dr. Watson in the highly acclaimed Sherlock Holmes (Granada) series on ITV from 1986 – 1994. For many of us, he was the best ever on screen Watson.
